Preston M. Male Sr.
Age 85, of East Canton, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 30, 2012 in Aultman Hospital. He was born November 30, 1926 in Barbour, WV to the late Ward and Annis (Dalton) Male. Preston was an East Canton resident since 1951 and a WWII Army veteran. He retired from Republic Steel in 1988 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Moreland Christian Church where he played guitar, sang and distributed the "dollar bowtie". He was an avid golfer, could play any instrument with strings and was a member of the VFW. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death his first wife, Emma Y. Male in 1975; second wife, Lucille Male in 2009; one granddaughter, Kimberly Garrett. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Bonnie Male Jr. of Minerva, Michael and Debbie Male of Orrville, Steven Male of Canton, Randy and Robyn Male of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Eddie Budinski of East Canton; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma and Norman Mayle of Jane Lew, WV, Sharon and Ted Feldner of Canton South; a special friend, Jan Beaver of Canton South. Funeral services will be Thursday May 3, 2012 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Gene Carter officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
