Pearl J. Young
Pearl J. Young, age 89, of East Canton, passed away Sunday February 8, 2009 in Canterbury Villa of Alliance. She was born January 26, 1920 in Battlesburg, OH. to the late Harry and Myrtle (Jones) Stokes. Pearl was a graduate of Minerva High School, an East Canton and Robertsville area resident since 1927. She was a member of Christ Memorial Church, Robertsville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chauncey Forest Young in 1991; step-father, Raymond Blackledge. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Darla Young of Minerva; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Fred Jewell of Minerva; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond "Junior" and Virginia Blackledge of Canton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday February 12, 2009 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Kevin Simpson officiating. Interment in Robertsville Cemetery.
