Pearl W. Lenigar, age 97, passed away on December 27, 2023.
Pearl was born in Glouster, OH, on February 1, 1926, to Walter and Mildred (Murphy) Lenigar.
Pearl was a World War II veteran who served his country in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. He then went on to work for Ford for over 40 years. Pearl was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of the Foreign Wars. Pearl was a member of the First United Church of Christ and Middlebranch Grace Brethren.
Pearl is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alberta; his second wife, Mona; his sisters, Isabel and May; and his brother, Walter Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeffery (Melody); step-children, Marcia Linderman, Terry (Sheri) Ferrell, Kevin (Carolyn) Ferrell; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley Flinger), Michael, Megan (Brian Moreland); step-grandchildren, Tiffany, John, Ryan, Heather, Joshua, Genie, Natalie, Brandon, Carlie, Jayson, Scot, Shawn, Sheryl, Ian, Ashley, Julie; great-grandchildren, Jaylan, Christian, Madeline, Payton, Elizabeth, Abbey, Cameron, Zoey, Conner, Dylan, Maylyn; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, from 11 am to Noon at Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, with Chad Durfee officiating. Pearl will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park with military honors.
