Pauline M. Neininger, age 90, of East Canton, passed away Monday July 7, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born August 28, 1917 in Canton, to the late August and Adeline (Swanson) Scharver. Pauline was a 1935 graduate of North Canton High School and a life resident of the Canton area. She was formerly employed by the Hoover Company for several years. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where she was active in the Rosary and Altar Society, H.I.M. Group and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Pauline was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV; she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and the occasional trip to Mountaineer Park. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Neininger in 1980; five brothers, Harold, Lee, Earl, Merton and Ray Scharver; one sister, Viola Snyder; one son-in-law, Walter Einstein. She is survived by six children and their spouses, Nancy and Gary Davidson of Canton, Paula and Lawrence Stuckey Jr. of Canton, Fred and Julie Neininger of Louisville, Ted and Judy Neininger of New Philadelphia, Jim and Cathy Neininger of Goose Creek, SC, Debbie Einstein of East Canton; 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their care and compassion they provide for Pauline throughout her illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday July 11, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6-9pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society at 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
