Paul M. Vrabec
Paul M. "U.P." Vrabec, age 67, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 10, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. He was born December 20, 1940 in Clarksburg, WV, to the late Joseph Norton and Lucy Gay (Rollins) Vrabec. Paul was a very special brother, uncle and a generous and caring man. He truly enjoyed the many friends and his fellow members at the VFW. Paul was a Navy veteran having served two tours during the Cuban Missile Crisis (Bay of Pigs) and retired from Conrail in 1998 after 28 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post #3747, American Legion Post #548 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2374. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Lonnie Nazelrod. He is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Kisamore, Ann and John Farr all of Clearwater, FL, Jean Vrabec of Clarksburg, WV, Helen and Bill Conley of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Pam Vrabec of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 4:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Friends may call one hour before services on Tuesday (3-4pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Processing Center, P.O. Box 1510, Ransom, WV. 25438-4510.
