Paul H. Schenck
Paul H. Schenck, age 85, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, December 5, 2005 in Amberwood Manor. He was born January 5, 1920 in Oakmont, PA.
He was a resident of New Philadelphia for the past 4 years, prior to which he had resided in Virginia and North Carolina. Paul retired from Chrysler Motors, Twinsburg, in 1978 after 30 years in the automobile industry, and was a WWII Navy veteran. Member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Philadelphia, where he had served as an Assisting Minister for worship. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia E. Schenck; one step-daughter, Linda Giffen; three brothers, Robert, William and John Schenck; Survived by his wife, Leona K. (Jacobs) to whom he was married 29 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Schenck and Ian Chappel of Edison, NJ; two step-sons, Robert and his wife, Terasa Davis of Navarre, Donald Davis of New Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Michael E. Walters officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services on Friday (12:00-1:00pm).
