Paul D. Lake
Age 85, of Canton died peacefully in his home Saturday, January 22, 2011. Born December 23, 1925 in Webster County, WV. to the late Jennings T. and Mildred G. (McCartney) Lake. He was a Canton area resident since 1950 and a U.S. Army WWII veteran. Paul retired from LTV in 1988 after 37 years of service and also retired from Sears in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and also was a life member of the VFW and the American Sportsman's Club. Preceded in death by his wife, Juanita M. Lake in 2010; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lake; one great grandson, Tyler Lake; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Judy Lake of Canton, Calvin and Emily Lake of Austin, TX., Dave and Barb Lake of Canton, Rodney and Becky Lake of Brewster, Bob and Carolyn Lake of Akron; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Les Wiley of North Canton; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Carolyn Nichols officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 2150 17th St. SE., Canton, OH. 44707.
