Paul D. Conrad
Paul D. Conrad, age 81, of Canton died Friday August 22, 2008 in Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, OH. Born December 13, 1926 in Canton to the late, Edward A. and Clara E. (Siffrin) Conrad. He was a lifelong resident of Canton and a 1944 graduate of Timken High School. Paul retired from Nationwide Insurance Company and volunteered at Aultman Hospital for 25 years. He was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton, where he was a lector and also assisted at monthly dinners at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Paul was an active member and former officer in the Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by one brother, Edward Conrad. Survived by three brothers, John Conrad of Liverpool, NY, Brother David Conrad, SM, of the Marianist Community, Cleveland, OH, Douglas Conrad of Wakeman, OH; two nephews, Edward "Bud" Conrad of Canton, Rich Oster of Cambridge, OH; three nieces, Anne Hagreness-Conrad of Fairview, TX, Nancy Sue Conrad of Pasco, WA, Barbara Conrad of Martinez, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday Aug. 27, 2008 at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Memorial donations may be made to St Mary's Catholic Church, 1602 Market Ave. S., Canton, OH. 44707 or Covenant House, 461 Eighth Ave., New York, NY 10001 or Christian Appalachian Project, P.O.
