Patricia M. Wessels
Age 82, of Canton died Sunday, September 18, 2011 in St. Luke Lutheran Home following an extended illness. Born October 27, 1928 in North Industry, OH. to the late Herbert and Lottie (White) Koehler. She was a life resident of North Industry and a 1946 graduate of Canton Township High School. She was formerly employed by Harter Bank for 15 years. Patricia was a life member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had previously been active in the choir and Lutheran Church Women. She was also a member of the Canton South AARP and was active in various golf leagues. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Wessels in 2001; one brother, David Koehler; one sister, Emma Jeanne Koehler. Survived by one daughter, Diane Hutt of Canton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Debra Wessels, Robert and Joan Wessels, Jim and Brenda Wessels all of Canton; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Lois Koehler of Massillon. The family would like to thank St. Luke Lutheran Home and staff for their wonderful care given to Patricia for the past 10 years. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at 11:00 am in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. L. Scott Bacon officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm in the Kreighbaum- Sanders Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church from 10-11 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 301, Akron, OH. 44313.
