Patricia D. Coss, age 54, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in her home following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born September 26, 1953 in Rantoul, IL, to Robert E. and Marjorie (Charnock) Lee. She was a 1972 graduate of East Canton High School and a Louisville resident for the past 27 years. Patty was formerly employed by Betty's Boutique for 25 years. She was a faithful member of East Canton Church of God where she was active with the Women of the Church of God, Benevolence Committee and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was the leader for 11 years of the Bible Study Fellowship at First Christian Church. Patty took great pride and was very active in scouting; she had served as the Webelos resident camp director and Cub Scout day camp director and served in many other capacities in scouting. She and her husband, Jim, were proud that all four sons were Eagle Scouts and were foster parents to more than 40 foster children throughout the years. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Lee. Patty is survived by her husband, Jim W. Coss to whom she was married 34 years; five children and spouses, Robby and Lora Coss of Louisville, Jessica and Anthony Hoopes of Lisbon, Barry Coss of Louisville, Donny and Miaranda Coss of Louisville, John Coss of Fairhope; five grandchildren, Hayden, Hannah, Hunter, Katelyn and Jordan; her mother, Marjorie Lee of Strasburg, OH; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Jeff Sears of Strasburg, OH, Barbara Jean and Jeff Everhard of Fresno, OH, Erika and John Lewis of Akron, OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 26, 2008 at 11:00am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church (10-11 am) on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made, in Patty's memory, to Scout Troop or Pack #44, Paradise United Church of Christ, at any First Merit Bank.
