Ocie M. Anderson
Age 94, of East Canton, passed away Sunday September 8, 2013 in her home. She was born December 17, 1918 in Maud, WV to the late John G. and Ida M. (Brock) Bland. Ocie was an East Canton resident most of her life and was formerly employed by Kmart and the W.T. Grant Stores. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ where she was active with the Golden Agers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. "Jim" Anderson in 1965; one son, Richard Anderson; two brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Nelda Anderson of East Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Margaret Anderson of Canton South; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Anderson of Massillon; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Yoho of West Virginia and Edith Shepherd of Florida; sister-in-law, Flossie Bland of West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday September 13, 2013 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Keith Kull officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Louisville. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
