Norman R. Gobeli

Age 98, of East Canton passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021. He was born July 26, 1922 in Maximo, OH to the late Gottlieb and Margaret (Waffler) Gobeli. Norman was an East Canton resident since 1950 and proudly served as a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He retired from The Timken Company after 38 years of service. Norman was a member of the East Canton Church of God where he formerly served on the church board and youth leader. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ada E. Gobeli; two sisters, Martha Eckelberry and Lillian Cozy; seven brothers, Ernie, Walter, Albert, Arnold, Carl, Oscar and John Gobeli. Norman is survived by one daughter, Sandi (Steve) Bachman; one son, Tim (Shanda) Gobeli; three grandchildren, Brian (Ashley) Bachman, Kelly (Chane) Cline and Aaron (Shannyn) Bachman; seven great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Saylor, Chay, Tank, Brayden, Chase and Paityn; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday May 7, 2021 at 3:00pm in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor Greg Smith officiating. Friends and family will be received Thursday 5-7pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Friday at the church (2-3pm).
