Norma R. Wright
Norma R. Wright, age 86, of Canton, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday April 12, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. She was born February 18, 1922 in East Liverpool, OH, to the late James and Nancy (Lewis) Parsons. Norma was raised during her teenage years in Fairmont Children's Home in Alliance and was a 1940 graduate of Alliance High School. She was a Canton area resident since 1969, retiring as a Cafeteria Manager in 1982 from Canton Local Schools, Trump Elementary. Norma was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church and supported her husband, Rev. William D. Wright in his United Methodist appointments. She was a member of the Canton South AARP. Norma was an avid supporter and took great pride in her children and grandchildren's endeavors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her husband, Rev. William D. Wright to whom she was married 57 years; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Shirley Wright of Sun City, AZ, William D. Jr. and Pam Wright of Canton, Barry Wright of Canton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Dunlap of Stratton, OH. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 11:00am in Mt. Zion Community Church with Dr. Earl Bailey officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church (10-11am).
