Brown, Norma J.
age 81, of East Sparta, passed away Saturday May 2, 2009 in her home following an extended illness. She was born August 11, 1927 in Malvern, OH, to the late George and Mary (Burwell) Yarger. She was a life resident of the Canton South area. Norma was a 1946 graduate of Canton Township High School and retired owner/operator of the former Brown's Diner. Norma was a member of Canton Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. "Ace" Brown; one granddaughter, Traci Brown. She is survived by one daughter, Jean Medley of East Sparta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry L. and Jessie Brown, Merle J. and Joann Brown all of Canton; six granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Maurer of Navarre, Mary Butts of Dover; step-mother, Emma Yarger; several half brothers and half sisters. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 6, 2009 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. David Harmon officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
