Nilah Kaye Strohmeyer
Nilah Kaye Strohmeyer, age 67, of Magnolia,
died Sunday, February 19, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center. Born, May 15, 1938 in Beaverton, MI, to the late George L. and Thelma E. (Swartz) Mayfield. She was a Canton and Magnolia area resident most of her life, and formerly resided in Nashville, TN, for 20 years. Attended Middlebranch High School, and retired from Hilton Suites, Nashville, TN. Nilah was a member of First Christian Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #141. Preceded in death by her husband, James E. Strohmeyer in 2001; one sister, Vickie Welce. Loving mother, grandmother and sister of four daughters and son-in-law, Eileen and Mike Rinkes, Kathy Hurst, Lesley Burfield, Christine Ramsey all of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Stacie Burfield of Lisbon, OH; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Wilbur Moore of Canton; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Sandy Bishman of Magnolia. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at 10:00 am. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Tim Bancroft officiating. Interment in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
