Malavite, Nicholas
Age 94, of East Sparta died Thursday, March 12, 2009 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born November 26, 1914 in North Industry, OH. to the late Harry and Georgia (Sardis) Malavite. He was a life resident of the North Industry and East Sparta areas and a 1933 graduate of Canton Township High School. Nicholas retired from Malavite Excavating with 40 years of service. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where he had served as a trustee, with the building committee and sang with the Goldenairres. He also was a member of Caldwell Lodge #330 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and York Rite for 50 years and Eastern Star. Preceded in death by his wife, Kitty M. Malavite in 2006; three brothers, Thomas, Michael and Harry Malavite; one sister, Helen Malavite. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Jerry Eibel of East Sparta; two grandchildren, Greg Eibel of East Sparta, Cara Eibel of North Industry; two brothers and sister-in-law, Zeb and Marguerite Malavite of North Industry, Gust Malavite, Sr. and Carol Mason of East Sparta; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Robert Carrick of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 4:00 pm in Otterbein United Methodist Church, 6025 Shepler Church Rd. S.W., Navarre, OH. 44662, with Rev. Susan Holley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the Church from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church.
