Myrtle R. Calhoun
Myrtle R. Calhoun, age 82, of Canton died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Altercare of Navarre following an extended illness. Born February 19, 1925 in Neva, TN. to the late Abner C. and Nora (Stout) Reece. She was a Canton area resident since 1953 and member of Central Baptist Church. Retired Assistant Director from the department of Human Services of Stark County in 1980. Preceded in death by her husband, Edgar W. Calhoun in 2004; one brother, Charles Reece; twin sister, Mildred Lewis. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and James T. Sanderson of Navarre; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Evelyn Calhoun of Massillon; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Calhoun of Chicago, IL, Kristen Prough of Akron, Jennifer Schoen of Canton, James J. Sanderson of Massillon; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Central Baptist Church, 4736 Tuscarawas St. W., Canton, OH. 44708 with Pastor Randy Newcomer officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. and one hour before the service on Friday at the church (12 - 1 pm).
