Myron E. "Gene" Sell
Myron E. "Gene" Sell, age 80, of East Canton, died Thursday November 16, 2006 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born December 3, 1925 in Canton to the late Louis and Minnie (Mau) Sell. Gene was a WWII Navy veteran and an East Canton resident since 1964. He was the Owner/Operator and Vice-President of Sherwood Pattern retiring in 1990 after 24 years. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, past president of the Consistory Board and a member of the Mary and Joseph Sunday School Class. Gene was a member of the East Canton Lion's Club where he served three terms as President, 58 year member of Julliard Lodge #460 F&AM and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Louis Sell. He is survived by his wife, Dolores E. (Harter) Sell to whom he was married 56 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Patti and David Robinson of Naperville, IL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Claudia Sell of Louisville, Timothy and Ruth Sell of Houston, TX, Daniel and Diana Sell of Woodland Hills, CA; six grandchildren, Melanie (Alex) Dimarzio, Michael, Christopher, Daniel, Jake and Alexandra Sell; two great grandchildren, Ian and Ella Dimarzio. Funeral services will be Monday November 20, 2006 at 1:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Dr. Bruce Druckenmiller officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday 2-5pm in the funeral home with Masonic Services at 1:45pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 306 W. Church St, East Canton, OH 44730.
