Miriam L. Frank, age 87, of Canton, died Wednesday in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Baechel) Frank. She was a 1935 graduate of Canton South High School and a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. She retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander after 22 years of service. She also had resided in Pensacola, Fl. for 40 years where she retired from Sacred Heart Hospital. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton and the Retired Officers Association. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Frank. She is survived by one brother, Eugene Frank of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday August 21, 2004 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Sommer MSC as celebrant. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
