Minnie F. Lonca
Minnie F. Lonca, age 81, of Navarre, passed away Friday February 6, 2009 in St. Joseph Care Center. She was born July 1, 1927 in Pleasant City, OH. to the late Harry W. and Josephine (Stefik) Spurrier. Minnie was a Navarre resident since 2005, prior to which she had resided in Canton. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Polish National Alliance and the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lonca in 2001; one sister, Lena Mae Tilton; two brothers, Harold and Sylvannus Spurrier; one granddaughter, Ashley Lonca. She is survived by five children and spouses, Josephine and Ziggy Weglarz of North Canton, Mitchell Lonca of Canton, Dennis Lonca of Navarre, Kevin and Renee` Lonca of Canton South, Celeste and Glenn Deckman of Navarre; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; one sister, Glenna Tonnous of Caldwell, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday February 9, 2009 at 10:00am in All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. James McKarns as celebrant. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice and Mercy Home Care for their care and compassion.
