Mildred K. Hughes, age 84, of Canton, died Friday evening in her home following an extended illness. Daughter of the late Mack and Pantha (Hodge) Gouge. She was a Canton area resident since 1956 and was formerly employed by Canton laundry. Also preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Hughes, one son, Wilburn Hughes and one son-in-law, John Garrison. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Elsie Garrison of Canton, Leila and Elmer Young of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Dicky and Jenene Hughes of Canton; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Hughes of Florida, ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and grt. great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Kendrick officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm.
