Mildred M. Hayhurst
Age 96, of Canton died Friday July 24, 2015 in Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar following a brief illness. Born January 1, 1919 in Smithfield, WV. to the late Howard and Minnie (Price) Higgins. She was a Canton resident since 1940. Mildred was a member of Canton Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday school for 55 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Franklin "Doc" Hayhurst in 1997; five sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Pat Hayhurst of Canton; two grandsons and spouse, Brak Hayhurst of Canton, Dirk and Bonnie Hayhurst of Hudson; one brother, Jack Higgins of Mannington, WV. There will be no public services. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Groovy Garfoose Music Therapy of Hudson, 64 Division Street, Hudson, OH. 44236.
