Michael "Mikey" L. Hoopingarner

Michael “Mikey” Lee Hoopingarner, age 41, of Massillon passed away on August 28, 2024, leaving a huge void in the hearts of all who knew him. Mikey was born with a heart as big as his laugh, He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brightened every room he entered, and he will be truly missed by all.

Mikey was a dedicated employee of Chuck’s Tree Service for several years, where he formed lasting friendships with some amazing people and who became like a second family to him. Known for his boundless energy, hard work, and infectious laugh, Mike was always ready with a joke or a playful scare. His generosity and willingness to help anyone in need endeared him to many.

Mikey was a very passionate supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he found joy in go-kart racing, four-wheeler riding, and simply relaxing with a good movie. However, nothing mattered more to him than his family.

Mikey is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Roseann Offenberger; his stepfather, James Offenberger Sr.; and his brother, Joshua Hoopingarner.

Mikey is survived by his two children, Savannah Rose and Landon Lee; his father, Ramon Hoopingarner; siblings: Christy (Mitchell) Smith, Leona Hoopingarner, Christina Hoopingarner, and his brother and best friend, James Offenberger. He was a treasured uncle to his nephews Camren, Gage, and Cole.

Mike's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love. A celebration of his life will be held at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 6:00pm. - 8:00pm. Friends and family are invited to gather, share their memories, and honor a remarkable man who brought so much joy to those around him.

Rest in peace, Mike. You will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and laughter.
