Michael A. Joiner, age 44, of Canton, passed away Monday December 3, 2007. He was born June 30, 1963 in Zanesville, OH, to James E. and Kristina M. (Lafferty)Joiner. Michael was a life resident of the Canton area and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 1981 graduate of Canton South High School and a graduate of Pittsburg School of Culinary Arts. He was employed by the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local #603. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James George and Helen Joiner, Leda Johnson. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Kristina and David Lane of Nashport, OH; father, James E. Joiner of Columbus, OH; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Correna Sue Tice of Malvern, Theresa and Michael Shearer of Columbus, Staci Paynter of Newark, OH; one brother, Vincent Joiner of Zanesville, OH; girlfriend, Kathy Tawney of Canton and her daughter, Carrisa; three step-sisters, Vicki May, Lori Pucci and Leigh Wells; one step-brother, Michael Pucci of East Sparta. Funeral services will be Friday December 7, 2007 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
