Mervin A. Kantorik, age 74, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Florida. A retired union carpenter, Mervin was born in Acme, PA. He had resided in Florida for 25 years, coming from East Canton. His affiliations include Local Carpenters Union #69, Canton, Minerva Hunting Club, Mapleton Gun Club and Donegal Lutheran Church in Donegal, PA. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kantorik of 46 years of Satsuma, FL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Teresa Kantorik of Mapleton, Thomas and Wendy Kantorik of Satsuma, FL; one stepdaughter, Linda Hossler and her husband, Jim of Canton; eight grandchildren. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 11am in Mapleton Cemetery. Myers-Kreighbaum- Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
