Merlyn F. Green

Age 76, of East Sparta peacefully passed away in her home to be in heaven on Friday, July 30, 2021. Born April 12, 1945 in Braxton County, WV to the late Daley and Dulcie (Knicely) King. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Lake. Merlyn was a loving wife and will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, John M. Green. She will be greatly missed by her children, Jeremy Green and Jennifer (Frederick) Dimmerling; two grandchildren, Freddy and Chloe; two sisters, Karen Ables and Kathleen Ables; one brother, Donald King; several nieces and nephews. Merlyn enjoyed helping others when she could, she worked at Dalton Industry in downtown Canton as a sewing clothing inspector for many years and also as a nursing aide at Nist Nursing Home. Her hobbies included shopping thrift stores and collecting dolls. The services will be private with interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.
