Merlin James Mark
Merlin James Mark, age 80, of East Canton died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 unexpectedly in his home. Born July 7, 1927 in Massillon, OH. to the late Ferd L and Mary Ann (Johnson) Mark. He was a life resident of East Canton and a 1946 graduate of Osnaburg Township High School. Jim was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired registered pharmacist. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and VFW Minerva Post #4120. Preceded in death by one brother, Richard Mark. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne (Snyder) Mark; four children and spouse, Susan Clapper of the home, Richard Mark of Uniontown, Daniel and Judy Mark of Webster, NY, John Mark of Uniontown; two grandchildren and spouse, Sarah and Scott Vesalo of Louisville and Daniel Mark of Webster, NY; two sisters, Doris Wenger of Canton and Joanne Rohrer of North Canton; several generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at 10:30 am in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 306 W. Church St., E. Canton, OH. 44730, with Rev James Painting and Pastor Elaine Painting officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton in charge of arrangements.
