Merle O. Mayer
Merle O. Mayer, age 90, of Canton, died Saturday May 6, 2006 in McKinley Health Care Center. He was born October 18, 1915 in Canton to the late John C. and Sarah K. (Chenot) Mayer. Merle was a life resident of the Canton area, had served in the U.S. Army and retired from Republic Steel. Merle is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Leona Kinsinger, Zella Lamborn and Esther Shaffer; four brothers, Floyd, John, Clyde and Raymond Mayer. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Friends may call 7-8pm, Tuesday May 9, 2006 in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. A private committal service will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville.
