Melvin L. Woods Sr.
Age 79, of Canton died Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born November 18, 1932 in Franklin, KY. to the late Dewey and Lena (Baird) Woods. He was a Canton resident most of his life and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Melvin was retired from the Laborers Union #1015. Preceded in death by his wife, Clara L. Woods in 2011; a son, Melvin L. Woods, Jr. and an infant son, Robert Woods; one sister and two brothers. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Woods of North Canton, Brenda and Dan Moose of Canton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Bonnie Woods of Carrollton, David Woods of Canton; one daughter-in-law, Juanita Woods of Canton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
