Age 41, of Louisville passed away unexpectedly Monday April 16, 2012. "A luminous light remains where her beautiful soul has passed." She was born March 13, 1971in Mayfield, OH. Melissa was a graduate of GlenOak High School and Malone College and was a Louisville resident for the past 13 years. She was employed by Surgery Alliance for the past 11 years. Melissa was a member of ASA Softball, Buckeye Blues, served as umpire-in-chief for Eastern Stark County Softball Association and was an usher with the Canton Players Guild for many years. She is survived by her husband, Greg S. Westfall to whom she was married 13 years; father and step-mother, Leonard J. and Rosanne Hess of Strongsville, OH; mother, Margaret Hess; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Leonard A. and Kara Hess of Weddington, NC; one nephew, Grayson Hess of Weddington, NC; father-in-law, Leroy Westfall of East Canton; sister-in-law, LeeAnn Westfall of Chattanooga, TN; very special friends, Bob and Debbie May of Massillon; many extended family and good friends. Visitation will be Friday 5-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. There are no other public services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society at 5100 Peach St, Louisville, OH 44641.
