Maxine Carol Johnson
Age 69, of Canton, passed away Sunday August 15, 2010 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1941 in East Sparta, OH to the late William E. and Kathleen (Wetter) Meese. Maxine was a life resident of the East Sparta and Canton area and had attended Sandy Valley High School. She was formerly employed by St. Luke's Lutheran Home for 9 years and was a member of Massillon Nazarene Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, David Garvin. She is survived by her husband, William V. Johnson to whom she was married 13 years; two sons, Mark (Kristine) Pedicord of Canton, Kevin Pedicord of Holiday, FL; two daughters, Kaye (Gregory) Gottshall of Sugarcreek, Brenda (Dean) Mingus of Homeworth; three step-sons, Ralph (Margaret) Johnson of Warren, OH, Dan (Lisa) Johnson of Fayetteville, OH, Timothy (Emily) Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; two step-daughters, Tammi Johnson of Orrville, OH, Sally (James) Hawks of Warren, OH; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond (Marjorie) Meese of Canton, Richard (Susan K.) Meese of Cuyahoga Falls, Douglas Meese of Perry Heights. Funeral services will be Wednesday August 18, 2010 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor John Stallings officiating. Interment in Canal Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday (tonight) 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
