Max R. Carpenter
Max R. Carpenter, age 73, of East Canton, passed away Thursday October 9, 2008 in the Laurels of Massillon following an extended illness. He was born December 10, 1934 in Lincoln Park, MI. to the late Ervin L. and Minnie Agnes (Robertson) Carpenter. Max was an East Canton resident for the past 42 years and was a graduate of Waynesburg High School and Canton Business School. He was an Air Force Veteran and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2370. Max was a former member of Indian Run Christian Church and the Louisville Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Sean Richard Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Judith R. (Cable) to whom he was married 44 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Ockie and Beth Ann Carpenter of Magnolia; one grandson, who was the pride and joy of Max's life, Oliver Carpenter of Magnolia; two step-granddaughters, Athena Malavite of Magnolia, Anna Landis of Magnolia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Gladys Carpenter of Malvern, Ervin and Jean Carpenter of East Sparta. Funeral services will be Monday October 13, 2008 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with John Vincent officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery.
