Mary Louise Wiltshire

Mary Louise Wiltshire, age 89, passed away on January 5, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1935, to Samuel and Sarah (Eckleberry) Pool in New Matamoras, Ohio.

Mary was an active woman with an adventurous spirit. She felt most at home tending to her garden, and spending time sewing, quilting, and baking. Mary had a passion for researching her family tree, even taking trips to the National Archives to learn more about her lineage. She knew many friends in many circles. She regularly attended socials with her former Sears coworkers, as well as senior socials and meetings with her former classmates. Most of all, Mary loved her family. They considered her home a harbor of safety and will miss her dearly.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert D. Wiltshire; four siblings; grandson, Shane Mayle, and a niece and nephew.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her daughter, Diane (F. Gary Lyman) Wiltshire; grandchildren, Rachel (Robert) Nichols, Reanna Mayle, Seth Mayle; great-grandchildren, Shane, Gavin, Justin, Erianna; great-great-grandson, Shane, and her beloved nieces and nephew.

Friends and family may pay their respects during calling hours on Friday, January 10 from 6-8 pm at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave. S., Canton, OH 44707. A graveside service officiated by Danny Grine will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 10 am at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
