Mary J. Strednicky
Age 97, of East Sparta died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Hennis Care Center following an extended illness. Born June 18, 1917 in Johnstown, PA to the late Nick and Kate (Cirarishi) Szalaj. She was a long time resident of Pike Township and a former member of All Saints Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, George Strednicky; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Phillis Strad of East Sparta; two granddaughters and spouses, Leslie and Brent Masonbrink of Columbus, Lauren and Joe Gilchrist of Akron; special niece and spouse, Kathleen and Jeff Popick of Canton. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at 1:30 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Jerri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
