Mary M. Spencer

Age 97, of Louisville, passed away Monday October 10, 2022 in Aultman Hospital. She was born December 6, 1924 in Noble County, OH to the late Andrew and Philomena E. “Minnie” (Warner) Archer. Mary was formerly employed by Motor Express for 13 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Parish and the VFW Post #7490 ladies auxiliary. Mary was an avid bowler, gardener and made the best cherry pie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Spencer in 1977; one son, Harold “Ernie” Spencer; great-grandson, Dominic Wilgus; two sisters and two brothers. Mary is survived by four children, Edward Spencer, Judy Wilgus, Joy Shrum and Jeffrey Spencer; four grandchildren, Daniel Wilgus, Jenny Spencer, Chase Shrum and Spencer Shrum; two great-grandchildren, Devin (Ashley) Wilgus and Daniel L. (Jaime) Wilgus II; one great-great grandson, Miles A. Wilgus and one expected great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Luella Hanlon; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday October 14, 2022 at 11:00am in Sacred Heart of Mary Parish at 8900 Columbus Rd NE, Louisville, OH 44641 with Fr. Robert M. Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Parish.
