Mary M. Shafer
Mary M. Shafer, age 88, of East Canton/ Louisville areas died Friday, November 24, 2006 in her home. Born in Buffalo, OH. on July 24, 1918 to the late Luther E. and Inez C. (Davis) Joy. She was an East Canton/Louisville area resident since 1966 and a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shafer in 1986; one son, David Shafer in 1973; one brother, George Joy in 1922. Survived by two sons, Ronald Shafer of Canton and James Shafer of East Canton; former daughter-in-law, Paula Helsel; four granddaughters, Becky Johnson, Brandy Levy, Sarah Shafer and Ericka Shafer; twin great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Friday, December 1, 2006 at 3:00 pm in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Richard K. Thewlis officiating. There will be no other services. Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton in charge of arrangements.
