Mary E. Raines
Age 85, of East Canton, passed away Monday July11, 2011 in Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center. She was born May 14, 1926 in Hanoverton, OH to the late Spencer and Mabel (Arter) Sanor. Mary was an East Canton resident since 1953 and the former owner/operator of 4M Nursing Home in Canton for 10 years. She had attended the East Canton Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Mary is survived by her husband, Melvin S. "Pap" Raines to whom she was married 67 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Margie Raines of Zoar, Robert and Molly Raines of East Canton; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday July 14, 2011 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Michael D. Jones officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St, East Canton, OH 44730.
