Mary Esther Pool
Age 93, of Canton died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born June 10, 1928 in Jerusalem, Ohio to the late Harry and Daisy (Lucas) Brown. She was a Canton resident since 1946 and retired owner/operator of Mary’s Snack-a-Teria for 14 years. She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ where she was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years and Missions Committee, Stepping Stones, Girl Scout Leader OST since 1958, National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, founder of the NFB for Stark County, Canton Blind Bowlers, Senior Companion Program, former president of the Canton Towers Tennant Assoc. Preceded in death by her husband, Foster D. Pool in 1970 and a brother, Harry Brown Jr. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Ray Cramblett, Karen and Chuck Sturms, Gretchen and Craig Tripp, Janda and Joel Bailey; one son and daughter-in-law, Foster “Bud” and Kim Pool; eight grandchildren, Janna and Tom Sturms, Brian and Leah Morrison, Mike Cramblett, Katie, Rachel and Jared Bailey; nine great grandchildren, Kelsi and Sckylere Cramblett, Sebastin and Elijah Sturms, Noah Rourk, Kellen Boykin, Anthony and Gracey Morrison, Kane Rodgers; several great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Juanita Brown. Funeral services will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Inurnment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
