Mary E. Peterson
Mary E. Peterson, age 83, of Navarre died Sunday August 31, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center. Born April 15, 1925 in Fairmont, WV. to the late George O. and Alma O.(Skinner) Winemiller. She was a Navarre area resident since 1970 and a member of 38th Street Church of Christ. Mary was formerly employed by St. Luke's Lutheran Home for the Aged, W.T. Grants and was a former restaurant owner in Lumberport, WV. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis Peterson in 1989; one daughter, Alma Sue Hoiles; one son, Robert Peterson; two grandsons, Michael and Fred "Freddie" Long; four brothers and three sisters. Survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Benjamin Tichnell of Canton, Jean and Al Tucke of Canton, Barbara and Clyde Nutter of Canton, Elizabeth and Larry Morgan of Dalton, Frances Ross of Navarre; 11 grandchildren; eight great granddaughters; one sister, Marlen Thompson of Sandyville; one brother and sister-in-law, John T. and Elsie Winemiller of Baytown, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Tirmonia and staff and Altercare of Navarre for their wonderful care given to Mary. Funeral services will be Thursday Sept. 4, 2008 at 1:30 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Lance Lindenberger officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
