Mary K. Oyer
Mary K. Oyer, age 73, of Canton, died Thursday August 4, 2005, from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. Daughter of the late Earl and Marie (Beebe) Jones, and was a Canton area resident most of her life. She was a licensed real estate agent and a partner in the family operated businesses. A very active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where served on many of the church committees and had served as a district officer for the U.M.W. for many years. Mary was a 1949 graduate of Canton South High School, a former member of Canton South Junior Guild and Sponseller Grange. Member of Canton South AARP and served as a dorm counselor at Camp Sychar for 20 years. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin S. Oyer in 1997; two sisters, Betty Baker and Helen Mulhern. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Vicki Oyer of Pickerington, OH; one daughter, Diane (Clark) Yingling of Canton South; five grandsons that she truly cherished, Bradley and Jeremy Oyer, Drew, Ben and Nathan Clark. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00pm in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Dr. Earl Bailey officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services at the church (12:00-1:00pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion UMC at 2637 Baum St SE, Canton, OH 44707.
