Mary Maxine Offineer
Age 83 of Louisville passed away Sunday February 14, 2021 in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 28, 1937 in Gilmer County, WV to the late William Bryan and Mary Constance (Riley) Woofter. Maxine was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a 1958 graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Clarksburg, WV. She was formerly employed by Clarksburg VA Hospital, Timken Mercy Hospital, Aultman Hospital and the J.T. Nist Nursing Home. Maxine enjoyed time with family, attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a huge sports fan, following all the Cleveland Teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and her West Virginia Mountaineers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, James Paul, John Robert, William Bryan II and Harold Eugene Woofter. Maxine is survived by her husband, Donald Roy Offineer to whom she was married 60 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Bryan and Dawna Offineer of East Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Ann and Kevin Ackerman of Marlboro; five grandsons, John Offineer of Clarksville, TN, Tim (Kiersten) Offineer of East Canton, Andrew, Matthew and Nathan Ackerman all of Marlboro; six great-grandchildren, Kyler Newkirk of Broken Arrow, OK., Faith Graham and Harley Offineer of Clarksville, TN., Jase, Jemma and Jennings Offineer all of East Canton; two sisters-in-law, Jane Woofter of Clarksburg, WV. and Shirley Offineer of East Canton; many nieces and nephews.
