Mary Jane McCall
age 91, of Canton, passed away Saturday October 17, 2009 in the Canton Regency Retirement Community. She was born July 9, 1918 in Canton to the late David and Bertha (Halbreitter) Margo. She was a 1936 graduate of East Canton High School and a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Mary Jane was a Canton area resident most of her life and had resided in Massillon for 25 years. She was a member of the Canton Woman's Club, Shady Hollow Country Club, Circle of Mercy, the Stark County Lawyer's Wives Association, Massillon Woman's Club and the Canton Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John S. McCall in 1979; two brothers, Henry and Charles Margo; her twin sister, Carol Jo Zaiser; her former husband, Dr. Robert Immel. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John S. and Miriam McCall of Waynesburg, Jeff J. and Nancy McCall of Canton; three grandchildren and spouses, Ryan and Karen Swallen, Elizabeth and Noah Szporn, Sarah and Doug Truman; four great-grandchildren, Anna and Benjamin Szporn, Jonah and Hannah Truman. A private family graveside service will be conducted in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
