Mary L. Mayer
Age 76, of Canton died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in her home following an extended illness. Born February 25, 1940 in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Jesse and Laverne (Saffle) Stephen. She was a Canton resident most of her life and a member of North Canton Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Mayer Sr in 2001. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John R. Jr. and Joyce Mayer; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynnette and Rich McBride; four grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Sean Taylor, Nathan and Sarah Mayer, Arieann and Dan Baum, Seth Mayer; six great grandchildren, Mercedes, Jesse, John Everett, Lillian, Wyatt and Mary Eleanor; one sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Floyd Mayer. Funeral services will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:30 am in North Canton Church of Christ, 1301 E. Maple St., North Canton, OH. 44720, with Rod Stockdale officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program.
