Mary Kathleen Drake
Age 84, of Magnolia, passed away Wednesday June 26, 2013 in Hennis Health Care Center. She was born March 15, 1929 in Miami, WV to the late Charles C.C. and Teltha M. (Ferrell) Richards Sr. Mary was a Canton area resident since 1960 and was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church and a former member of Miami Church of the Nazarene for 31 years. Member of Mary Moon Circle and TOPS #1128. She was a former co-owner, with her brother Charles Richards, of Richard's Grocery in Miami, WV where she was known as "Sissy" Richards. She was formerly employed by Hanover House Nursing Home. In addition to her Parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L. Drake in 1978; one son, David M. Drake in 1995; two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by one son, William R. Drake of Magnolia; two step-sons and spouses, Robert and Carol Drake, Richard and Debbie Drake all of Canton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two nieces, Betty Altizer of Roanoke, VA and Peggy Wurts of Charleston, WV; many cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be Saturday June 29, 2013 at 10:00am in Mt. Zion Community Church, 2637 Baum St SE, Canton, OH 44707 with Pastor Bruce McLaughlin officiating. Friends may call Friday 5-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Interment in Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV.
