Mary L. Brock
Mary L. Brock, age 99, of Canton, died Sunday April 1, 2007 in the Canton Christian Home following a brief illness. She was born February 10, 1908 in Beallsville, OH, to the late James R. and Evalena (Stidd) Thornberry. Mary was a Canton area resident since 1952 and retired from W.T. Grant Company in 1962. She was a member of North Industry Christian Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Class and the Leisurelees. She was also a member of the Greater Canton Retirees. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Ivan Thornberry; her husband, Ernest Brock in 1992; one son, E. William Brock Jr. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and John Hamilton, Doris and Fred Baker all of Beallsville; one daughter-in-law, Janet Brock of N. Canton; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday 4-6pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services at the church on Thursday (1-2pm). Funeral services will be Thursday April 5, 2007 at 2:00pm in the Beallsville First Christian Church, Beallsville, OH. with Wayne Clark officiating. Internment in Beallsville Cemetery.
