Mary A. Young
Age 82, of Canton passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. Born June 11, 1935 in Robbinsville, NC to the late Joshua and Nan (Howell) Crisp. She was a Canton resident for the past 71 years and was a 1953 graduate of Canton South High School. Mary was an active member of the Canton Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir for 45 years. Preceded in death by her first husband, Earl W. Lake in 2000; one sister, Ruth Beauchamp; two brothers, Delmas and Gene Crisp. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Rev. Delaney Young; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Butch Ullman; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tana Lake; two step daughters and spouses, Lorie and Dan Jarrett, Renee and Doug Sanders; two step sons and spouses, Dan and Jill Young, Rick and Wendy Young; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Carter and Bobbie Bates; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Canton Baptist Temple, 515 Whipple Ave N.W., Canton, OH. 44708, with Pastor Mike Frazier officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the Canton Baptist Temple and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 10 – 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canton Baptist Temple.
