Marvin D. Haney, age 77, of Canton died Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Altercare of Navarre following a brief illness. Born December 31, 1931 in Bolivar, OH. to the late Rueben O. and Helen M. (Kennedy) Haney. He was a Canton area resident most of his life and was retired from Teamsters Local #92. Preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Donald Haney; two sisters, Wilda Humphries and Norma Cunningham. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara J. (Lung) Haney; two sons and daughter-in-law, Dale and Barbara Haney of New Philadelphia, Joe Haney of Navarre; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Dan Hodge of Wooster, Julia and James Roberts of Navarre; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lou Haney of Mineral City; two sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Friley of Bolivar, Greta and Jim Leiser of East Sparta; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Fred Blauser officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
