Marvelle Brooks
Age 90, of Canton died Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Canton Christian Home. Born May 26, 1922 in Canton, Ohio to the late Jacob H. and Sarah Elizabeth (Fox) Muckley. She was a life resident of Canton and a graduate of Canton Township High School. Marvelle retired from Frito-Lay-Rold Gold Foods in 1987 after 17 1/2 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church, Hettie Bair Sunday School Class, Canton South AARP Chapter#4885, Buckeye Bacon Burners and TOPS. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Brooks in 2011; one sister, Mary Jean Kampher. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Ruth Brooks of Canton; three grandchildren and spouses, David and Becky Brooks of Westerville, Dr. Steven and Dr. Katie Brooks of Bath, Bryan and Melissa Brooks of Canton; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Faye Palmer of Canton; many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Joan Biery of Canton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Canton Christian Home for their wonderful care give to Marvelle. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Bruce McLaughlin officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday (Tonight) from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Community Church or the Canton Christian Home.
