Martha A. May
Age 74, of Canton, passed away Wednesday March 12, 2014 in Aultman Compassionate care, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. She was born July 18, 1939 in Noble County, OH to the late William B. and Anna (Vogler) Mincks. Martha was a life resident of the Canton area and a member of St. Anthony's/All Saints Parish. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Chuck Mincks. She is survived by her husband, John W. May Sr. to whom she was married 55 years; four sons and daughters-in-law, John W. "Shorty" and Cindy May Jr. of East Sparta, Ron and Lori May of Canton South, Don and Amy May of New Philadelphia, Joe and Lisa May of Canton South; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob) Russell, John W. May III, Ronnie (Holly) May, Jared May, Christopher and Hunter May, Andy (Abi) May, Michael and Nick May; five great-grandchildren, Lela, Georgi and Evelyn Russell, Ethan and Isaac May; three brothers, Jim (Sue) Mincks, Joe (Dana) Mincks and John (Diane) Mincks; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and Aultman Compassionate Care for their wonderful care and assistance for Martha throughout her illness. Friends may call Saturday March 15, 2014 from 2-5pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A private family interment will be conducted in Melscheimer Cemetery at a later date. There are no other public services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice at 2821 Woodlawn NW., Canton, OH 44708.
