Marlene C. Kiener
age 69, of East Sparta, passed away unexpectedly Sunday May 23, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. She was born March 1, 1941 in East Sparta, OH to the late Cecil B. and Gladys A. (Sell) Long. Marlene was a life resident of the East Sparta and Louisville areas and was a 1959 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. She retired from Summit's Trace Nursing Home and was a Shakelee Representative for 31 years. Marlene was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Algonquin Mill Historical Society, Pike Township Historical Society, and Pike Grange for 55 years, Pomona, State and National Grange. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Rich Mahoney of East Sparta; two nephews, Gregory (Nancy) Mahoney of Magnolia, Bryan Mahoney of Sandyville; two great-nephews, Joshua Mahoney and Jeremy Ross; one great-niece, Lindsay (Nathan) Morris; a special friend, John Lorenz of New Philadelphia and his children, Lindsey and Mitchell Lorenz; two godchildren, Tana Simmons and Tina McElroy. Funeral services will be Thursday May 27, 2010 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Ruthann Bosley officiating. Interment in Henry Warstler Cemetery.
